As a mother of four children, a full-time job, and taxi-mom responsibilities my days seem endless. While driving from point A to point B, I often find myself enjoying a little dream of getting away to relax. Dreaming of, not a vacation per say but a spa day to pamper myself with essential oil, a new hairstyle, and maybe even try permanent makeup or cosmetics makeup.

As I dreamed of a spa day, I went online and researched local spas. I shuddered when I saw how much going to spa would cost, not to mention having to venture into traffic and crowds to get there. I decided right then and there I was going  to create my own home spa and with my birthday approaching I was sure I could talk my husband into a deep tissue massage with aromatherapy oil. I was so excited because not only was I creating a spa day for myself, I was going to turn the rest of the day into a romantic evening with my husband. 

As I ordered several of the most heavenly Lavender candles, aromatherapy oil and a beautiful Art Deco Oil warmer, the relaxation was already setting in. I am happy to report my homemade spa day was absolutely glorious! While I relaxed, a tranquil smile came to my face as I came to the conclusion that taking care of myself is the first step to caring for others. With that realization, I am now looking forward to more home-made spa days ahead!
