aromatherapy oil

In my household the use of aromatherapy oil is a common even daily occurrence. I have several methods I use to diffuse the aromatherapy oil into my home.

One method is by burning the oil in a bowl with a tea light candle as the heat source underneath. These work well in the bathroom especially when used with a bubble bath. The aromatherapy oil smells wonderful and the tea light adds warmth to the bathing experience.

Another method for the use of aromatherapy oil is one that can be left unattended all day long. I use an electric candle warmer in my kitchen. I have many aromatherapy oil candles on hand and change them out according to my mood or the season. I leave the burner on for days at a time. It is safe to leave plugging in while I am away. I love the fragrance that hits my nasal passages when I walk into my home.

The last method I use for my aromatherapy oil is a little dated. I got these metal rings that are placed on a traditional light bulb many years ago. I simply pour the aromatherapy oil into the ring, place it on the bulb in the family room and turn on the lamp. As the bulb heats up so does the oil and the scent is released into the room. This works well but I do not think that leaving the lamp on for a long period of time is a good idea as the oil can get overheated and sometimes burn. Whatever the method, I just love aromatherapy oil around my home!
